At the beginning of December, youth workers and organisations from across Europe came together in Maribor for an intensive and inspiring Planning 2026 Weekend. Participants from the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Romania, Poland and Serbia gathered to reflect, connect and look ahead together.
Over the course of three days, we explored current challenges in youth work, exchanged experiences and good practices, and discussed which themes and priorities truly matter as we move towards 2026. The focus was not only on sharing ideas, but on listening to one another and building a shared understanding across different national and local contexts.
The meeting created space for openness, creativity and collaboration. New connections were formed, existing relationships were strengthened, and the first outlines of future Erasmus+ project ideas began to take shape. It was a working environment where vision and practice came together, grounded in a common commitment to meaningful youth work.
The days in Maribor reminded us of the strength of European cooperation when people come together with a shared purpose. With renewed energy and inspiration, we look ahead to 2026 and to continuing this collaboration across borders.
