To continue Stephan's legacy, Bildung Nijmegen established the Stephan Spieker Fund. Stephan was not only a valued board member, but above all a friend and inspiration. He truly believed in the power of humanity: in listening, in closeness, and in the small gestures that make a difference.

With his open mind, gentle humor, and tireless commitment, he connected people. He saw potential in those who were sometimes overlooked, gave courage to young people still searching for their path, and contributed to a kind of education that not only teaches but also feels.

 

The fund bears his name as a tribute to who he was and his legacy. With this in mind, the Stephan Spieker Fund supports initiatives that promote inclusion, resilience, and equal opportunities. Activities in which everyone can participate, regardless of background, disability, or situation, and where there is room to grow, share, and build something beautiful together.
