Erasmus+

Erasmus+ is a European programme that supports international cooperation in the fields of education, youth and social development. It enables organisations to develop projects focused on learning, exchange and collaboration across borders, with a strong emphasis on non-formal learning, personal development and active participation.

At Bildung Nijmegen, we use Erasmus+ as a framework to develop international learning pathways and partnerships that connect people and broaden perspectives. Together with partner organisations from different countries, we create learning environments in which encounter, reflection and shared development are central.

To date, Bildung Nijmegen has implemented more than 25 international Erasmus+ projects. Within these projects, we have taken on various roles, including lead partner, host organisation, facilitating organisation, trainer and project partner. Our experience covers both Key Action 1 and Key Action 2, within Youth and Adult Education.

Over the years, hundreds of participants have successfully taken part in our Erasmus+ projects. These included young people, adult learners and professionals participating in international exchanges, learning pathways and cooperation projects. Across all activities, non-formal learning has been central, with a strong focus on personal growth, citizenship and social engagement.

Our Erasmus+ projects are characterised by long-term partnerships, careful guidance and a strong focus on quality and learning processes. We do not see Erasmus+ as an end in itself, but as a means to enable sustainable international cooperation and meaningful learning experiences.
