Art & Studios
Art and making are a natural starting point within Bildung Nijmegen. In our studios and art projects, we create space for experimentation, connection, and personal development. What matters most is not the final outcome, but the shared process: researching, imagining, reflecting, and giving meaning to personal and social themes together.

Within this domain, we initiate and support projects such as Art Connects, GlowUp (a creative art project focused on self-expression), the Festival of Light, and a range of workshops and maker sessions. Across these activities, art is used as a tool for connection, dialogue, and personal growth, often bringing together visual art, music, and social issues.

Our art activities are developed in collaboration with cultural and social partners including Gelderland Zuid Library, Studio MONK, Museum Park Orientalis, and Hobby Centrum Nijmegen. Together, we create accessible spaces where artists, young people, and local residents can meet, experiment, and collaborate.
We work with artists, facilitators, and participants from diverse backgrounds, in both small groups and open settings. Safety, equality, and personal autonomy are always central. Through art, participants share experiences, broaden perspectives, and build meaningful connections between people and communities.

Bildung’s artistic practice is deeply rooted in Nijmegen and the surrounding region, and stays closely connected to the city, its residents, and its social dynamics.
