Regional
Bildung is rooted in Nijmegen and works from the city and the wider region. In neighbourhoods, studios and shared spaces, we bring together young people, makers, residents and professionals around questions that matter locally. We do not start from fixed formats, but from practice: what is happening here, with these people, in this place?

Regional initiatives such as Jeugdverbinden (Connecting Youth), Kunst doet Verbinden (Art Connects), Bildung Atelier and Bildung Labs are developed in close collaboration with local partners and participants. These trajectories centre on encounter: creating together, exploring together and reflecting together. Art and creativity are not goals in themselves, but ways to open up space for dialogue, imagination and development.

We also work on heritage projects, dialogue tables and atelier-based trajectories in which stories, identity and shared history play a central role. By bringing together people from different backgrounds, new perspectives emerge on the city, the region and their future.

For us, the region is not an area of implementation but a living environment in which we build long-term relationships. What develops locally often becomes the starting point for further exchange and collaboration beyond the region.
Working regionally means being present, listening carefully and building initiatives that truly fit the people and the place.
