Vergeet-mij-niet Gesprekken (Stories We Won’t Forget) 🌸

We are proud to share that our project Vergeet-mij-niet Gesprekken (Stories We Won’t Forget) has been approved by the DELA Fund!

In this project, young people from Nijmegen will engage in heartfelt conversations with older residents from the city’s traditional neighbourhoods. Together, they will collect stories about connectedness, loss, solidarity and life wisdom, stories that often disappear if they are not passed on.

These encounters will result in portraits and quotes, which together form a travelling mini-exhibition. The exhibition will be shown at libraries and community centres across Nijmegen, each time opened with a dialogue between young people, older residents and neighbours.

With this project we aim to bring generations closer together, strengthen social cohesion and keep the richness of local stories alive. All activities are carried out on a voluntary basis, driven by community spirit and care for one another.
