At Hobbycentrum Nijmegen, participants of Kunst doet Verbinden continued their creative journey with a still life painting workshop under the guidance of artist Claudia Librizzi.
During the workshop, the participants worked with observation, colour, shape and composition. A still life may seem simple at first, but it invites people to slow down and really look. What colours do you see? How does the light fall? Which details stand out? From there, everyone translated what they saw into their own painting.
The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Some participants were discovering painting for the first time, while others already had more experience. Everyone worked at their own pace, with space to try, make mistakes, ask questions and develop their own style.
Claudia guided the group step by step, not by focusing on a perfect final result, but by encouraging participants to enjoy the process of creating. Alongside the painting, there was also room for conversation, laughter and connection between the participants.
That is exactly what Kunst doet Verbinden is about. Art becomes a way to meet each other, to share a moment together and to discover something new about yourself and the people around you.
Kunst doet Verbinden is a project by Bildung Nijmegen at Hobbycentrum Nijmegen and is made possible with the support of the VSBfonds.
